Objective: Describe and plan for the support (both for faculty and for future students) that you will need to build an upcoming course; describe in writing a plan to include equitable practices in your future course.

Time: 1 hour (not necessarily online)

Grade: Met/Not Met

Instructions:

In 1-2 short paragraphs or lists, answer the following questions. Your answers will only be visible to you and the Instructional Designer(s) running this course. You'll have a chance to edit or expand on these answers later to construct your overall course plan.

You may upload a document as an attachment or write directly into the box below for this assignment. Make sure you click "Submit" to save and upload your answer for feedback.

Questions:
  • What support for faculty would you like to make use of and/or investigate further? Put another way: What areas have you identified where you'd like to learn more or engage more about online teaching?
    • Do you need more information about or referrals to any specific areas?
  • What concrete actions toward encouraging equity, access, and inclusion will you build into your future course(s)?
  • What supports currently available at Lane can/will you communicate to students?
    • Make a plan for support that you can build in advance for the term, i.e., scheduled announcements, built-in referral blocks, visits from advisors, or a pre-term course letter. The more specific you are now, the easier your work will be later!

How will I know when I've completed this?

After you've submitted your assignment, you'll get feedback from me. Look for feedback in the Moodle Gradebook or on this assignment page within a few business days after submitting.
