Completion requirements

Make forum posts: 1
Objective: Work through the 3 stages of backward design focusing on one of your course outcomes.
Time: 30 minutes
Points/Grade: Complete / Not Complete
Instructions:
- Identify desired results
- Type or paste one outcome from one course into your forum post. If your course has already been built, approved by the curriculum committee, and published in the catalog, your learning outcomes have already been written. Search for your course in the catalog (choose any course that you've taught before that you'd like to improve) and choose one of your course outcomes. Your department may also have more specific outcomes listed internally.
- Step 2: Determine Acceptable Evidence
- In your forum post, briefly reflect on the following two questions regarding the outcome you chose:
- How will I know if students have achieved the desired results?
- What will I accept as evidence of student understanding and proficiency?
- Step 3: Plan learning experiences and Instruction
- In your forum post, briefly describe one learning experience or activity that you can use in your course to help students learn what is necessary to achieve the outcome you chose.
How will I know when I've completed this?
Successful replies here will provide a short paragraph answer to all 3 steps listed above.
